These terms
These terms apply to the services of Hikaro Studio Company Limited, a company registered in Thailand under number 0205569039102, whose registered office is at 1/111 Moo 9, Pong Subdistrict, Bang Lamung District, Chon Buri 20150, Thailand (“we”), to its clients (“you”). By ordering a pilot or a plan, you accept them. Your own general terms don’t apply unless we agree to them in writing, and an agreement we both sign prevails over these terms.
These terms are written in English. We publish translations for convenience; if a translation differs, the English version prevails.
For businesses only
Our services are for businesses only: by ordering, you confirm that you act for a business, not as a consumer. Prices exclude VAT and any similar tax, which is added where the law requires it.
How work is ordered
- You describe what you need, in plain words.
- An engineer turns it into features and sizes each one: small (1 credit), medium (3 credits) or large (7 credits). Before you buy anything, we send you the list of features and their sizes.
- You approve each feature at its size before work on it starts. The size is final once agreed, even if the work turns out bigger.
Analysis, development, testing and documentation are included in the size.
Credits and plans
Prices are in euros for a client established in the euro area, and in US dollars everywhere else.

- A plan renews each month until you stop it. There is no minimum term: you can stop at any time, and the stop takes effect at the end of the current month.
- Plans are billed monthly in advance, by automatic payment (card or direct debit) through Stripe, which sends the invoice.
- A feature uses its credits only once it is delivered.
- Unused credits roll over. Each credit is valid for 6 months from its purchase, and your oldest credits are always used first. A credit not used within 6 months expires.
- Credits and plans are not refundable.
- Our first three clients keep their launch price for 12 months.
The pilot
The pilot costs €900 in the euro area and $1,000 elsewhere, and lasts two weeks. We set up the groundwork on your project (tests that run, our working agreement) and deliver a first batch of up to 10 small or medium features. If you continue, the pilot’s price is deducted from your first month.
Delivery
- Every feature is delivered with its own tests. It is delivered once it is merged into your repository, after your whole app has built and its whole test suite has passed, old tests and new.
- A feature that can’t be done properly is returned with the reason, and uses no credits.
- Our lead-time targets are 2 business days for a small feature, 5 for a medium one and 10 for a large one. They are targets, not guarantees.
- Every batch we deliver comes with a test version of your app that you can use for 7 days. We don’t host your live app.
- Screen design and publishing to the App Store and Google Play are features like any other, sized and priced the same way.
What we need from you
- Access to your repository, and the information, accounts and test environments a feature needs.
- Your approval of each feature, at its size, before work starts.
- The branch protection described on our page for technical teams.
You decide what goes into production, and you remain responsible for your live app, its hosting and its data. We work on your code, never on your live customer data.
Ownership of the code
The code is yours. We transfer to you every right we hold in it, feature by feature, as each one is delivered. For a new app, the repository is transferred to you with its full history.
Open-source components keep their own licences. Our own tools, including our production line, remain ours.
Confidentiality
We each keep confidential what the other shares in the course of our work, and use it only for that work. This obligation continues after our work together ends.
Personal data
We sign a GDPR data processing agreement with each client, including the European Union’s standard contractual clauses. Our privacy policy and our sub-processors say the rest.
Agencies
When we work for an agency, we never approach its clients. See working with agencies.
Warranties and liability
There is no warranty period after delivery: a change you ask for later is a new feature, sized and priced like any other. Beyond what these terms say, our services are provided without any other warranty.
Our total liability under these terms is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 3 months before the event that gives rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect damage, such as lost revenue, lost profit or lost data. These limits don’t apply where the law doesn’t allow them, in particular in case of gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
Ending our work together
You can stop your plan at any time, as described above. We can end our work together if you don’t pay what is due or seriously breach these terms, and the problem is not fixed 15 days after we told you in writing. Work on your project is suspended in the meantime.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. Any dispute we can’t settle amicably is decided by the courts of Bangkok.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The new version is published here with its date. For a plan in progress, changes apply from the following month, after notice by email.
